Pistol River Wave Bash Transportation and Accommodations

If you are flying in for the Pistol River Wave Bash, there are 2 good options. San Francisco (SFO) and Portland (PDX) are the nearest major airports. Pistol River is located on the Southern Coast of Oregon about 7 hour’s drive from either airport.

Although the contest is remotely located, it is well worth the beautiful drive from any direction you are coming from. Gold Beach is the nearest town, located 10 miles north of Pistol River State Park.

Inn of the Beachcomber is the official Hotel sponsor of the contest. Call (1-888-690-2378) for discounted competitor rates. If you are into camping, there will be limited camping on the hotel property. Curry County Fairgrounds also offers a big field out of the wind with bathrooms and hot showers for $20/person for the week. The fairgrounds is located only a few short blocks from Inn of the Beach Comber, and is also the location for opening and closing ceremonies for the contest.
