SURAZO INFERNAL. March 25th – April 2nd

This is one of the truly iconic events of the new Wave Tour. The IWT has been running this event with the incredible talented local organizers since 2017. In that time it has become famed for high performance riding and GOOD TIMES! The first two events were organized by the energetic and extraordinary Alex Vargas. A great rider himself, Alex lit the fire and started something big running the event in Mantanzas 2017 and 2018. In 2019 he stepped back to complete his Architecture studies and the crew from the Hotel Surazo stepped in to revive the INFERNAL! Felipe Wedeles, Andres Tobar, and José Manuel Pérez. Legends. The origin of the “Infernal” was an epic event run many years ago by the hard core Chilean crew with huge waves and wild winds in Topocalma – The Topocalma Infernal. They brought it back big time in 2019 and the event ran exclusively in Topocalma. It was a huge success and inspired us all, featuring in the IWT movie RIDERS with the support of the Red Bull Chile media team. The event didn’t run in 2020, 2021 and 2022 thanks to the global shutdown. Now it’s back, bigger than ever as part of the Unified PWA IWT Wave Tour and we are EXCITED!!!! This year the event will run heats in Matanzas where the sand banks are INCREDIBLE! Welcome to CHILE!!! The worlds best riders, on the worlds best waves. Let the good times roll!
