Strong Winds Create Aerial Battles For Advancing Places

Pacasmayo put on strong winds and overhead sets to create an exciting aerial show for the early Masters rounds and redemption round of Pro Men.

A stand-out in the Redemption rounds of Pro Men was Australian Peter Kenyon, who consistently made late hits and aerials to cement his progression. Raoul Reiner showed off his local knowledge by linking successive turns and committing late to critical sections to win his round. Adrian Levy (Australia) and Philip Newmarch (USA) also won their heats with strong, consistent rides to finalize the top four challengers who now get to test their skills against the Pro Men.

In the early Masters rounds, 2023 World Champion, Arnaud Frennet (Chile) put on an aggressive, aerial display to take the highest score of the Masters heats and assert his intent to defend his world title. Peter Kenyon continued his good streak to win his round 1 heat, whilst Philip Newmarch powered his way to victory with a buzzer beater finish over Jane Seman (Australia) in a high scoring third heat.

The first Masters semi final will now see Frennet being challenged by Seman, Levy and Nelson Perez (Peurto Rico). The second semi-final should be a tight battle between Kenyon Newmarch, Reiner and Charlie Rovira (Peurto Rico).
