Ponta Preta. There you can do anything windsurf, surf, SUP, Kite and snorkle all in one spot!
What are you looking forward to the most about the AWT event coming to your spots?
It´s nice to have some event in Cabo Verde, it will be great to motivate all the local guys.
With so many riders coming from around the world, what piece of local advice/knowledge can you give them?
Bring a lot of gear ha ha ha
Is Ponta Preta really as heavy as it looks in the photos?
Depends of the day! Some days it´s nice but some days you really don´t want to be in the middle of it!
What is your current profession?
Professional Kitesurfer, Multiple World Wave Champion. Partner of Mitu & Djo Kitesurfing School and MITU brand.
How has windsurfing/surfing/SUP influenced and/or changed your life?
It´s helped a lot, it´s my life and my career.
What does it mean for Cabo Verde and its people to have the international media focussed on it for this event?
It´s great for the local guys to be able to share their talent.
Where in the world would you like to windsurfing/surf/sup and why?
TAHITI!! I´ve been there a few times and it´s like a dream you know. Perfect conditions, clean water, amazing nature and nice people.

It´s helped a lot with my life to give me focus and a job.

It´s really important for Cabo Verde to show are islands.
Where in the world would you like to windsurfing/surf/sup and why?
Hawaii, it´s the islands of surfers!

Ponta Preta for sure, it´s my local spot and the waves are great.

Lots of surfers, hopefully good waves. It´s super cool to participate in an international event and its great for Cabo Verde.

It´s good here, we have good conditions and it´s lots of fun.
