Location: Mantanzas is a town on the west coast of Chile, about 2 hours drive south of Santiago.

Typical entry numbers: 2018 = 35+
Typical Conditions: Port tack wave riding and jumping. There are numerous spots up and down the coast, but the contest is held right in the town of Matanzas. Wind can be light or strong and is mostly side-shore down the line wave riding.
Temperatures: It can be cold, bring very warm clothes and boardies and t-shirts. Cold Water wetsuits are essential, most people use a full steamer 4/3 and many wear hoodies, some booties and gloves too.
Typical Judging criteria: 2 best waves and a chance of jumping.
Getting there: Most fly into Santiago and rent a car from there for the 2.5 hour drive south to the beautiful coastal fishing village of Mantazas.
Accommodation: Many people stay at Hotel Surazo, located right on the beach in front of the contest site. Additionally one can stay in a rental house or a variety of other Bed and Breakfast type options.
